Comprehensive Adult Driving Tests

Our adult driving tests are designed to assess your driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws. During the test, you will be evaluated on your ability to safely operate a vehicle, follow traffic signals and signs, and demonstrate good driving habits. Our instructors provide feedback and guidance to help you improve your skills and pass the test with confidence.

Eligibility for the Road Test

You qualify to take a road test with DPS Mobile Driving School if you:

• Are 18 years or older.
• Have a valid Texas Learner’s Permit (with photo).
• Have completed a 6-hour ADE-1317 (Adult Driver Education Course) and have the completion certificate. We must have this certificate before conducting the test.
• Have watched the 1-hour Impact Texas Young Drivers (ITYD) video and hold a valid completion certificate (expires 90 days after issue date).
• You will need to download, print, and bring all documents.

Road Test Details

You can use your own car for the test, or optionally rent a school car for $35.
Test criteria are provided to the applicant prior to test administration.
Upon completion of the driving test, the examiner will review any errors made during the test and provide advice on how to correct them.
